Schedule and Activities
There are so many things to do on Antelope Island during the Stampede, it's going to be hard to pick a place to begin. Most activities take place at White Rock Bay (see the map).
If you want to go horseback riding, at the Fielding Garr Ranch, call
888-878-8002 to reserve a time. This isn't nose to tail riding; your outfitter rides with you, but you go side by side across the plains of the island. Be on the look out for bison, pronghorn antelope, mountain sheep and other critters. There will be horses for the children at the Stampede, but it will be short rides led by the outfitter who will walk with the horse.
In fact, there's so much to do over Labor Day weekend you may want to camp on the Island or stay nearby in one of our comfy hotels. Reserve your camping space early. Call (800)322-3770 for more camping info. Or check out our hotel specials on the CVB's Hot Deals Page.
There will be many activities for the kids, kite flying demonstrations, balloon flights shortly after sunrise on Saturday morning, and lots to eat from all the vendors. You'll be amazed at how much talent is on display from local entertainers. Feel free to bring your own kites and join the other kite flyers in the free-fly zone! You might want to bring your own chairs too for the entertainment and the fireworks show.
Pilots are invited to fly on Sunday, but their appearance is optional. The better chance of seeing
hot-air balloon launches is on Saturday morning. Of course, even that is weather dependent.
Our pilots and kite flyers are kind enough to appear at Davis County schools and give demonstrations and participate in assemblies. Below is the school schedule, and below that is the event schedule.

Sponsors, balloonists and kiters: Don't miss the sponsor dinner at Roosters at 7PM on Thursday night (9/2)! Your tickets are in your sponsor or visitor packets.
The schedule of nearly non-stop entertainment appears below.
